I have an amazing spot right now... Luke and Heath caught some beautiful redfish on Monday. Matty and I nailed big reds, snook and monster trout both Thursday and Saturday. Sabrina and Jason got trout, flounder, ladyfish and spanish macs Saturday morning. All of this action in 1 little area.

Jim booked a trip with me and his goal was to catch redfish. All I can say is... at least you got to watch your friens catch redfish. We fished hard in the morning with no luck. A trip into Phillippi Creek proved to be the ticket. Andrea and Petra both landed nice redfish with the biggest being 31 inches. Rich caught a nice flounder. Jim, next time we go fishing, you can be on the good side of the boat.

Steven brought his grandkids out for an afternoon of fishing. Bait was hard to come by and the tide was too high when we started. The result was a slow bite and extra time spent catching bait. When the tide was lower, we move back to a spot that has been hot for a couple of weeks. They caught some big trout, 3 over 21 inches, Josh nailed an oversized snook that measured about 35 +- inches. Alexandra landed a nice trout as the sun was setting and it was time to head in.

What a strange week! Everything is biting in Sarasota bay. Early in the week Matty and I caught redfish, trout and tripletail. Tom and his son caught pompano and trout, just to name a few. They had some big snook on, only to be broken off several times. Later that week, Billy got a big flounder, pompano and some trout. Melvin and his family loaded up with pompano, flounder and trout for a fish fry(please email the pics). Today Phil and I fished all over the bay. The bite was slow in the morning but we finished strong with quite a few snook. Sorry about the big one getting away Phil!

Mike and Elizabeth wanted to see the Gulf of Mexico and catch some fish. We headed out about 8 miles to an artificial reef and began to troll some lures. With only 1 bite in 20 minutes we decided to troll some live baits. That turned out to be the ticket. We quickly caught a big spanish mac followed by some nice kingfish. A quick run back to the bay left us time to do a little inshore fishing. A couple trout and a bluefish and we were back at the ramp by lunch time.

A couple of trips on June 8th and 9th produced plenty of fish. The main catch was trout with some being over 24 inches. Wednesday afternoon was awsome with trout, bluefish, jacks and ladyfish hitting everthing the guys cast at them. I think they had a nice fish fry with some beautiful trout.

Rob, Damien and I started our day running the beaches looking for tarpon. Unfortunately we found none. So we headed offshore about 9 miles to an artificial reef and began bottom fishing. The results were good with a couple of keeper grouper, flounder and sharks.
